Who I Am

Before I start the story of my life I need to first give you, the reader, a quick description of myself and my situation to "set the scene," as they would say. (Who's "they"?)

To start off, I'm going to talk about my personality and some of my traits (it's often very difficult to write about one's traits so i'll be using my zodiac sign as a reference).

Some people may question as to why I will be using my zodiac sign.
Simple: I find that I can relate to most of what is said about my zodiac sign, the crab (Cancer). The same applies to most of my friends.
 Curious, huh?

(Of course, a person's zodiac sign may not always apply to them.)

The Cancer sign is closely associated with the moon, water, and emotions - I've found that i am very sensitive to the emotions of other people and the mood, call it a "spider-sense" or a "crab-sense" (get it?).

According to the author of "The 7 Fundamental Cancer Traits and What They Mean for You" written by Hannah Muniz, “they're primarily known for being emotional, nurturing, and highly intuitive, as well as sensitive and at times insecure.” Well that checks out.

Muniz describes that oftentimes, “cancers wear their hearts on their sleeves” but have a range of emotions swirling around on the inside which can make them seem sentimental or moody.

Just like the crab, Cancers will retreat into their shells and are more comfortable at home surrounded by loved ones. They prefer making intimate connections with a few people rather than socializing in large groups - which in my case I feel suffocated when I’m surrounded by so many people, I can’t breathe. Sometimes to get a breath of fresh air, I will isolate myself from others (including my friends - by the way, I make friends for life) and the crowd.

Don’t get me wrong though, I love a good party. The only types of parties that I will ever truly enjoy are house parties. I know the people, we can have a good time joking and messing around. I’m surrounded by my second family. I love it.

The Crab has many negative and positive traits, so I’ll be going over some of these traits.

Loyalty. Muniz claims, “arguably one of the most noteworthy Cancer traits is their die-hard loyalty.” I’d have to agree. Ever since I was little I’ve always had this weird sense of loyalty. If I said I was loyal, I meant it. I felt it in my soul - or maybe in my heart? Either way, I felt it.
